Gloucester are beaten on the road, but two bonus points very much eases the blow.

That was another very entertaining game.

The Cherry and Whites take the restart and look to attack from deep.

Jack Singleton breaks a tackle and makes a half break to get the visitors moving forward.

Ready to hit gamble, Gloucester attempt the cross-field kick again and Charlie Atkinson takes but he is driven into touch by Arron Reed and the brings the full time whistle.

Well that should be the game.

Luke Cowan-Dickie, recalled to England earlier today, scores in the corner for Sale's fifth try of the game.

It is a move straight off the training ground as they dummy to go to the openside from a line but instead switch the direction of the attack down the blindside and work the overlap with Arron Reed offloading off the deck for the hooker to score.

Gloucester's attack is creeping into become a bit too predictable, with a lack of burning pace on the wings hurting them

The visitors soak up relentless phases and win a penalty for not releasing.

Zach Mercer getsb the ball standing still in a poor position but he dances beyond the first attempt at a tackle and glides through a gap.

Crucially, the Gloucester number eight can't get the offload to Tomos Williams on his inside away.

Sale Sharks are over for their fourth bonus point try.

That is a massive statement from the beefy Sale pack who maul their way over from 10m out, spinning down the blindside to power Luke Cowan-Dickie over the whitewash.

Gloucester thought they had stopped the drive, with Ruan Ackermann getting close to stealing it, but the Sharks regrouped brilliantly.

What a difference Tomos Williams has made to this Gloucester side.

Charlie Atkinson gets the ball in the outside channel and puts a kick in over the top. Williams is tracking through the middle and is the first man to get to the bouncing ball and takes two touches with his foot, dribbling it down-field, before touching the pill down in the deadball area.

Sale Sharks' defence is staggeringly powerful and the hosts drive Gloucester backwards over a stuning couple of minutes.

Tomos Williams spots space in behind the aggressive blue shirted line and pokes a kick over the top for Gareth Anscombe but the Welshman knocks on trying to take the bouncing ball one-handed.

Tom Roebuck is over in the corner for his second of the night but the try is all about the speed of Arron Reed.

Reed, coming off his wing, ran a diagonal line and got on the outside of Max Llewellyn with his sheer pace and then offloaded for Roebuck to score.

His defenders beaten stats are going to be very healthy this game.

Sale come up with their best attacking moments of the game and a great flash of quick hands from Rob du Preez sends them down the right wing.

The Sharks look to kick in behind but Seb Atkinson makes himself big and blocks the ball like a goalkeeper, sucking the ball into his middrift to stopped the attacking chance.
